September 11th is a hard day especially because 4 people very close to me were born today making it a happy day….but it is also such a tragic day of remembrance. I can only imagine how hard this day is for those who actually have joyous occasions today.
I tried to block out most of my high school days but this day I will absolutely never forget. I was in 2nd period history with Coach Schmidt when we heard. The rest of the day, as with most schools, was spent watching the news and trying to wrap our heads around what was happening and the impact it would have. Just like with the 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon i’m sure everyone has stories of how closely this day impacted their lives and the connections they have. I know I do.
While today is an outspread acknowledgement and remembrance of those lost, a piece of us remembers everyday.
